If big euphoric uplifting trance is your thing then Martin Wilkinson is a must to check out if you haven’t already. At 37 he’s been producing for close to ten years now, kicking off his talents with the help of dinosaur software Dance Ejay. Dinosaur it may have been, but work it did - over the next 5 years Martin put together an impressive collection of 29 tracks, many still available on his Respective Trance series.
For reason’s unknown (”life got in the way…”) Martin had a break from the studio for a year, returning in ‘06 to find technology had certainly not taken a break - software had vastly improved and was more obtainable, internet speeds had gone through the roof, and there were more download sites than ever, inciting him to resurrect what he considered his 10 strongest tracks so far - releasing them on Napster and iTunes as the ‘Retrospective Trance Euphoria” album. Having awakened his appetite for production, Martin spent the next year teaching himself the joys of Cubase SX, quickly moving onto the fuller Cubase 4. With the aid of computer magazines and online sources, it wasn’t long before the quality of his production moved forwards in leaps and bounds and the trance world saw 4 new E.P.s in his “Future Euphoric Trance” series.
By now his studio had developed hugely - Martin had sound knowledge when it comes to building computers, allowing him to save money on that front to put into a range of other ‘toys’….
Currently his main focus is promotion of his label Trance Euphoria, whilst of course spending time with his head down in the studio - we’re told there’s more tracks in the pipeline, hopefully with some remixes en route too - watch this space!
The latest album “Future Euphoric Trance Album” is an epic uplifting euphoric trance monster featuring a collection of tracks from the 4 EP’s mentioned earlier, sitting alongside new material. This week also sees the release of a new single “Gallium” - another fine slice of epic trance pie!
